Circumference and Radius: C=2πR= Economies of Distance – Touring Exhibition from IMPACT10, 2015-19

Exhibition with works from the IMPACT 10 International Bienalle Conference Exhibition, Touring to Poland (2015; SGC International Conference • Knoxville, Tennessee • March 18-21, 2015; IMPACT10, Palacete del Embarcadero, Santander, Cantabria, SPAIN (September 1-9, 2018); College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, Al Fanun Gallery, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (14.12. 2016 – 02.02.2017); IAPA 2019, Guizhou Art Museum, Guiyang, China (09.05-09.06.2019).

This exhibition includes the work of ten pairs of artist in print media from around the world, from opposing quadrants – countries that (loosely) reflect diverging points on the earth.  The artists are partnered according to position in opposing quadrants of the hemisphere (n/s, e/w).  Themes include shifts of position, arcs, vectors, and arabesques through space and time, imagined connections or relations in global or local space, and shifting concepts of time and distance.   For the project, each invited artist creates a minimum of 4 prints – one to send to the participating artists in the opposite quadrant, and three to send to the organizer.
