A suite of mono prints, overdrawn, 57 x 76 cms

During her 2014 artist’s residency funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Shemilt was given access to the archives in the Commune of Filignano. She became fascinated with the records of births, marriages and deaths, which evoked the narratives and identities of the local people and culture.
